At the same time, an certificate's description of a stone's properties can help determine the price of the diamond. Knowing that, I would want the most accurate certificate possible. So, to answer his question, GIA grading is stricter, more accurate and more trustworthy than other labs. The certificate isn't everything when making a diamond purchase, but it's an important part of being informed in my opinion. Ha, poor guy.
